Commercial Driving at FETC

Fred W. Eberle Technical Center in Buckhannon, WV, offers daytime classes for adults looking to obtain their CDL license. For program consideration, applicants must have a valid West Virginia driver’s license, and be at least 18 years old with two years of driving experience. Students must also pass a DOT CDL physical exam, undergo a drug screening, and follow appropriate dress and hygiene for the industry.

Tuition costs about $4,000, and is subject to change. Classes last for eight to ten weeks, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. After course completion, students will take the appropriate Class A or Class B CDL license with a state-certified tester.

Admission Requirements

  • Hold a valid WV driver’s license

  • Take the TABE (Test of Adult

    Basic Education)

  • Be at least 18 years old, with two

    years of driving experience

  • Pass a DOT CDL physical examination

    and drug screen
