Electricians

are tradespeople specializing in electrical wiring of buildings, stationary machines and related equipment. Electricians may be employed in the installation of new electrical components or the maintenance and repair of existing electrical infrastructure. Electricians may also specialize in wiring ships, airplanes, and other mobile platforms, as well as data and cable.

In this course students have an opportunity to gain knowledge and develop technical skills in all aspects of the Electrical Industry. Students may earn the WV Journeyman Electrician License.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Be a High School Junior or Senior in Barbour, Lewis or Upshur Counties

  • Submit an Application

  • Interview with Instructor

This is a Two-Year Program for High School Students.

Certifications Available

  • OSHA 10

  • Students may take the licensing exam available through the WV State Fire Marshalls Office.
