The Allied Health Program is a one-year program.

The program consists of four core courses:

  • Foundations of Health Science

  • Advanced Principles of Health Science

  • Medical Assistant Clinical Procedures

  • Medical Laboratory and Diagnostic Procedures

Students enrolled in the program will get hands-on experience in labs, physician offices and other health care set-tings.

Students will gain healthcare knowledge and skills such as drawing blood, performing EKGs and obtaining vital signs.

Students will participate in clinicals in their second semester of the program. Students will visit various sites such as physicians offices at Saint Joseph’s Hospital. At the various sites, students may draw blood, obtain vital signs, perform EKGS, administer injections, assist physicians with exams and minor procedures.

  • NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) for Medical Assistant

  • ECG Technician

  • ASPT (American Society of Phlebotomy Technician)

  • CPR/First Aid

  • OSHA 10
